Ann Payne

 WORKING WITH SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES.

Hi, I’m Ann, a licensed NLP4kids and NLP practitioner based in West Sussex and Surrey.
I work with children between the ages of 5 and 17 years of age in either workshops in schools, workshops in the community or one-to-one therapy sessions. I also work with adults in one-to-one therapy sessions.

I have worked in the field of child and family social work for many years. Through that work, I acquired a passion for helping children and their families find ways of dealing with the challenges or difficulties they were facing. I have undertaken various courses that have enabled me to work during my social work career with children and parents who have faced traumatic situations.

I am aware of how the children and their parents struggle with anxiety, difficulties in social situations, difficulties at school, mental health problems and various other challenges in their lives.

The work we do through Superheroes allows us to reach out to the wider communities to support children and young people who may not have access to private mental health care or who may be on a waiting list but need help sooner rather than later.

Some of the common challenges I see through my work:

• ADHD
• Anger Management
• Anxiety
• Autism
• Behaviour
• Communication Skills
• Concentration
• Confidence Building
• Emotional Challenges
• Learning Challenges
• Learning Strategies

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) can work very well with quick results when working with a child or an adult who finds himself/herself in a negative cycle. It is solution-focused so there is no need to spend time dwelling on the past and time can be used to work on positive solutions and look at how to make changes for a positive future.

I am also a qualified solution-focused hypnotherapist. Therefore, my sessions are a blend of NLP techniques and solution-focused hypnotherapy. Each session is client-led and tailored precisely to meet the individual’s needs, offering practical skills, tools and techniques to overcome challenges, with clear directions that the client can use straight away to start to make changes.

My aim in Superheroes is to use my skill set and knowledge to empower children and young people to lead a happier, healthier and more proactive lifestyle and to see the best versions of themselves.
